On Saturday night, Waffles, a super sweet German Shepard Great Pyrenes mix, was playing outside, when he broke his lead, and he ran off. His family looked for him that night and the next day with no luck. Fast forward to Sunday and a Good Samaritan had picked Waffles up after he had been struck by a car. They were escorted by a sheriff to Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, and Waffles was sent immediately to Hope Animal Clinic. After some x-rays and an exam, it was discovered that Waffles has a broken jaw that will likely require surgery. In addition to the jaw, Waffles also has an ulcer on his eye, a concussion, a badly bitten tongue, and blood in his stool. Waffles owners were located, and even though they love him a great deal, they are having some financial difficulties, and his bill will likely be large one. If you can spare a little change to get Waffles well and back to home to his family, please donate. If you can’t donate, please share. If we raise more money that is needed for his care, the money will be donated to the shelter so it can be used for other animals in need.
