Hello, my name is Mark and I am asking for your kind and generous assistance.

A few years ago I struck up an unlikely friendship on the internet. I say unlikely because my friend is a trained and accredited network engineer and administrator while I was little more than a typical internet user and if you’ve ever tried to talk to your ISP tech support you know what I mean by “unlikely”. It was my interest in how the physical networks operated and how they are structured that caught his attention and became the basis for our friendship and I’ve since learned quite a bit. Jer’s trust and confidence in me reached a point where we had begun discussing my joining him in the business of internet security services.

I relished the thought as I have been a Type1 Diabetic most of my life and I am at that age where things are going downhill fast for me and I can no longer work. So the chance to learn something new and take on a new direction was something I couldn’t pass up. Well, as long as I am able to anyway.

Then a few months ago Jer went missing and if any of you reading this has ever had someone you care about go missing without a word for months on end, I don’t have to tell you how sickening that is to not to know what happened.

That all changed when I received a raggedy letter for help from Jer. He had been out of the country and due to the actions of his former wife, all his assets had been seized and he has been left with nothing while the situation is being worked out and he can get his life back on track. The word destitute comes to mind.

This is where I ask for your help. I have managed to obtain some of the necessary hardware but these costs are far above what I can afford and right now it’s not looking like any of Jer’s current assets will be available once he does manage to return to us. Unfortunately I do not know when that will be as right now contact with Jer is spotty at best as he does what he can to keep his head above water and get back home.

I have been unable to work due to my disease and I have this opportunity to do something with Jer which would give me the opportunity to make a difference and add a bit of purpose to my life.

Please help me if you can and if it is in your heart to do so. A donation as little as $1 would be appreciated to help me and to help me help Jer get his business rebuilt from the ground up when he returns.

I don’t expect the current situation to be resolved for quite some time but I am sure that if you are interested in your internet and networking security or that of your business that a discount commensurate with your donations could be worked out for all who donate.
