The pandemic has brought a lot of hardships to the needy, elderly, disabled, and vulnerable but despite the many obstacles, I am one of the volunteers in Singapore Red Cross who have stepped up to support those in need by proactively engaging in the fundraising campaigns and donation drive of the Singapore Red Cross.

Some of the successful campaigns I have spearheaded are as follows:

Serving the poor and needy - #WomenInRed - Giving.sg

#Relief Efforts for Typhoon Rai in the Philippines - Giving.sg

#Relief Efforts for Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine - Giving.sg (On-going as of 28th Feb 2022)

Why not help my hometown as well?

I was inspired of being a volunteer at the Singapore Red Cross. It really is a fulfillment and encouraging! As the saying goes, "it is better to give than to receive". As you all know, Philippines is still struggling due to the pandemic and the recent Typhoon Rai (Odette) in which our government will not be able to reach everyone.

To continue what I have started in Singapore, I will be going for a vacation to visit my family from last week of March to April 9th in my hometown (Villasis) Pangasinan.

Your gift of $5 or any amount will impact the lives of the unemployed and elderly people in a developing country.

The main objective of this campaign is to buy ART test kits for the needy or poor families because in the Philippines they will not be able to afford it as the prices of swab test is quite expensive due to the fact that they need to go a clinic or a hospital to do the test which cost around Php960 for Antigen Rapid test while for PCR, it cost around Php3,800 minimum for a public clinic/hospital whereas for private, it will cost around Php4,500 or higher depending on the hospital. The information is based on Department of Health website. It is not the same here in Singapore, we can buy 1 ART test kit for a price of $5. If there's a promotion, you can get it at around $4.9 or $4.7. As a result of this cause, it will lessen the spread of COVID-19 pandemic as we don't know the person who has the virus.

For those people who will be supporting this campaign, I will take a picture/video of the beneficiaries from this cause and will send via email.

Btw, if you don't have a Paypal account. Please send me an email or PM me directly if you want to send via Paynow.

Stay safe. Thank you for your support! God Bless.
