Volunteering to teach English in Ghana

So I'm going out to Ghana in July to volunteer! I will be helping out at a local school where volunteers play an important part in supporting local teachers and providing a new lease of life in the classroom. Resources here are limited, but creative and determined volunteers can really make a difference.

I'm going with the company 'Plan my gap year' and whilst they are not a registered charity, they recommend volunteers fund raise for the trip so this is what I'm doing! The money donated will all go towards the cost of resources I take out for the children.

The donation does not need to be money. I will also be helping out at a local orphanage who are in desperate need of children's shoes so please if you have any spare or old shoes children sizes please let me know. The school also needs sports equipment so again any unused or unwanted sports equipment would be greatly appreciated.

Without support these kids don't have the resources they need so I would really love to take a suitcase full of stuff for them!
