Hello everyone! My name is Polina and I was accepted to the volunteering program "Homestay" in Vietnam (if you're interested in the project itself, you can use links down below). This project is essentially aimed at teaching English and sharing cultures with people from Vietnam and other volunteers within the team. The experience includes living together with volunteers and spending time together with kids in the classroom environment and outside of it (cooking/eating, etc.).
I am going to use funds just to get to Vietnam and to recieve necessary shots. The cheapest tickets one way are around 350 dollars. The program is providing meals and hostel accommodation, so my only concern is travelling there. I'll try to save money for travelling back home, however, if you don't mind helping me with this ticket as well, I did not put any limitations to the final compaign's goal, so I will be gratefull for any kind of additional help.
A little bit about myself; I’m 20 years old and was born in the small city of Kazakhstan. Later on, I was an exchange student in the United States and currently, I'm getting my bachelor's degree in Eastern Europe. I can truly call myself an international person because my entire life I have been around people with different backgrounds, worldviews and attitudes towards life. I have two years working experience of teaching English to people of different ages (from 7 to 50), therefore, I think, I can make a valuable contribution to the volunteering mission. I’m really excited to experience Asian culture, meet new people and volunteer for a good cause.
I will be extremely grateful for the financial support of any kind. Thank you for spending your time on reading this and especially if you decided to contribute.
