Campaign Story
Our names are Eilísh Kavanagh and Ciara Griffin. We have the opportunity to volunteer in Sri Lanka in May 2018. We will volunteer with a teaching English program and an elephant and turtles Program. We will be volunteering with 'Plan My Gap Year'.
PMGY collaborates with an English Teaching Projects working in local schools and community education. We will volunteer in Tsunami Village Project. Tsunami Village is a community of houses that were donated by the government and international charities to accommodate families that lost their home after the Tsunami. Our aim is to encourage and teach students to develop their English that will help them achieve their future goals.
Also PMGY collaborates with an elephant and turtles Program. In this program we will feed, walk and wash the elephants.
While volunteering, our role will involve teaching English to children age 6 to 18 years of age. We want to inspire and educate them in the English language. We will also help out at the elephant and turtles Program. We want to make a positive difference volunteering in the local projects.
We would greatly appreciate any donations.
Thanks :)
