Hi there :) My name is Nicole, and I am an 18 year student from Ireland. From the 5th April - 26th April 2013 I will be volunteering in the town of Ambalangoda on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka With an amazing organisation, PMGY.

Sri Lanka has had it tough the last few years between the conflict of armies in the north east of the country and the devastating effect of the Tsunami in 2004, which took the lives of around 35,000 people and destroyed large parts of the region.

During my stay I will be taking part in building & community and recreational work, caring and teaching in orphanages, teaching english to Bhuddist monks and working on the tsunami projects. I really want to make a difference, and if i could help just one person it would be worth it.

With your help, the money fundraised would go towards costs of materials, supplies, donations to tsunami projects and skilled labour required to support the cause. It would also help out with travel expenses food, accomodation, 24 hour support from the team, training & implementation and monitoring of projects.

I would appreciate this more than you could ever imagine.
