Campaign Story
Hi all, thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
As some of you may know I have decided to take a three month career break from the good old NHS to head off to South East Asia to do some volunteer work with the organisation PlanMyGapYear. I am raising money to help fund the trip. This money will go towards the fee I pay to participate in the projects, plus money towards supporting the projects themselves.
The trip starts at the beginning of February in Vietnam. I've been nursing for just over 10 years now and it has always been my dream to nurse abroad. I will have the opportunity to work in Hanoi's national children's hospital where I will be able to gain first-hand exposure and insight into the Vietnamese health care system, by learning from local staff and getting involved in supporting them.
Second stop is Cambodia where I will be educating and working with children at The Hope agency school with a strong focus on teaching English.
Lastly off to Bali to work in a wildlife rescue center focusing mainly on caring for endangered animals rescued from poachers and trafficking.
