Campaign Story
Hello reader! My name is Lauren Hayes, I'm 18 years old and I am currently doing a gap year working as a full-time waitress before starting a Musical Theatre course in September 2020.
In March 2020 I am undertaking a once in a lifetime experience volunteering around South America in a 6 week Encounter Project with Plan My Gap Year! I will be helping with childcare projects in San José, Costa Rica for 2 weeks, then Quito, Ecuador for 2 weeks and I will be teaching English in Lima, Peru for the last 2 weeks.
I am so excited to get started on this project! I can't wait to be able to make a difference through these projects, meet some amazing new people (locals and volunteers alike) and I'm eager to become immersed in the amazing culture that makes South America what it is. It'll also be quite handy in picking up my Spanish language again, which needs a lot more practice in these upcoming months
I have set up this GoGetFunding page in order to help towards funding costs and this will help my ability to get the most out of this experience. Any donation is greatly appreciated, big or small!
