Volunteering in Panama

Hello lovely people! My name is Harriet, I am 18 years and I am hoping to take a gap year next year before reapplying for medical school. Volunteering has always been close to my heart and I have done volunteering in the UK where I live ranging from my local Charity shop to a care home. However, I've always wanted to push myself further and do some volunteering abroad. Through Global Volunteering Network I gained a place on a program in Panama for 2 months, however, I need your help to get there.

So, what is this program all about?

The program is called the Children's Program and while out in Panama I will be interacting with orphaned children, doing activities with them and helping them to enjoy every single day. Most of these children are orphans and have been through things that people in the Western World wouldn't even dream of. These children need help and support and the more I sit here writing this, the more eager I feel to go out there and give these children the attention and support they deserve. However, I need your help and your donations to allow me to get there and work with these children.

How will your money help?

Your donations will allow me to help fund this life changing trip and allow me to get to a part of the world where I believe I can make a real difference to those children's lives. Your donations towards my trip will help me pay for the program I have enrolled on and pay for other necessary expenditures. Not only will your donations help me to go to Panama but it will also help to improve many childrens' lives by allowing someone like me to go out there and support these children who desperately need help and affection. I have so much admiration for people who go out a volunteer abroad and I believe that I am meant to volunteer abroad too.

I can't even begin to imagine what some of these children have been through at such a young age. These children need support and love and I am willing to give up my time and help these children. I just hope that you'll support my trip to make this happen. Even if I only make a suffering child smile it will be absolutely worth it.
