This spring I am planning on travelling to Malaysian Borneo to help out on some great volunteering projects. One of these projects is a nature conservation project focussed on the marine environment. Activities include monitoring the extent of sea grass and corals, and the amount of sea turtles and other marine wildlife, to assess the health of the marine environment. For locations where the quality is low (little/no/unhealthy sea grass and corals), structures can be build to support a better environment for sea grass and corals to grow, so that a natural habitat for marine life can be re-established.
This project runs on donations and the participation fees of its volunteers, which they need to provide for materials, equipment, food/accommodation and maintenance. You can help support this project directly, by sponsoring me. Every contribution is more than welcome!
