Volunteering in Kenya- June 2016

In June 2016, I will be travelling to Nakuru, Kenya with Younite Outreach Project to carry out volunteering work. We will be working with children and teachers based in two school (Melon Mission and Silver Bells). These schools are solely funded by volunteers and donations. It is vital that these schools receive continuous support in order to help make a difference to orphans and destitute children that attend these schools.

I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to help contribute to this life changing project. I need to raise £1500. The money raised will be split into two halves. One-half will be used to help the development of the current buildings at the schools. The other half will go towards the cost of getting to Kenya.

Last year the project improved toilet facilities, implemented a water storage system and improved security around the projects by creating gates and fences.

I am an aspiring Journalist currently studying Journalism at University. I will be sure to document my journey and share it with you when I return to the UK.
