Campaign Story
Hi all! I'm taking a gap year this year to gain some life experience before college. I've always dreamed of volunteering abroad and now I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to volunteer in Guatemala!
For 10 weeks, starting this January, I will be volunteering with a program called International Volunteer HQ. For the first part of my time there I will be planting macadamia trees and assisting communities in developing self-sustaining agriculture, as well as educating the public about the environment and global warming. Then, I will be volunteering at an animal sanctuary to help care for and give love to neglected and/or ill animals.
I am so appreciative of any help I can get to offset the cost of participating in this program. The money raised will go toward the program fee and my roundtrip flight. Whatever you can give, big or small, will be enormously helpful and will contribute to action against global warming as well as caring for animals in need. Thank you so much for your support!
