Hello all,

I am currently studying a degree in Animal Conservation and Biodiversity. It is something I truely am passionate about and have wanted to do for my entire life and I have now finally been given the opportunity to do so, but I want to gain real hands on experience working in conservation.

I am fundraising to travel to Borneo to volunteer on a Orangutan Conservation project. For university I have to complete 80 hours of work experience as part of my course. I have decided to use this opportunity to work with an amazing charity called the Orangutan Foundation. A small group of 12 volunteers assisted by indonesian locals will build guard posts in Tanjung Puting National Park which will enable locals to monitor and guard the protected area from hunters, poachers and illegal trade.

Palm Oil Foundation, Loss of Habitat, Pet Trade and poaching have drastically reduced the population of Orangutans in Borneo. If it weren't for the excellent work of charities such as the Orangutan Foundation then numbers would continue to decrease.

I am fundraising to make my dreams a reality. So please spare any amount , even as little as £1.  By donating you will be enhancing my career prospects and helping to make my dreams come true.

Thankyou in advance. Lots of love

Jade
