Volunteering in Colombia

Hey Everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my page as I attempt to raise money for a volunteer trip to Colombia. The project is a 3 week long trip in Colombia where I will support with feeding the homeless in the city of Bogota. As with many developing countries, Colombia struggles with problems associated with homelessness. Homelessness can affect people from all walks of life, whether the cause be substance abuse, mental health issues, unemployment, domestic abuse, natural disasters, or forced eviction. The Feeding the Homeless project gives volunteers the opportunity to reach out and help a diverse range of people of all ages. We will work together with other community members to prepare and serve meals to the homeless. In one day, volunteers could help feed around 200 men, women and children.

I can't wait to get started! With that being said, I am fundraising to help cover the costs of transportation, program fees, and travelers insurance. Any and all additional funds above what is needed will go directly to support the individuals in the Bogota community. Volunteering is not only my favorite hobby, but also my passion. After I get my education, I aspire to travel the world and teach in underdeveloped countries, and so this project will only be the beginning of my travels to help children and people in need of assistance.Thanks so much for your help!
