Volunteering for Mental Health in Ghana

I am a Psychology student at Bournemouth University, and in July 2017 I will be volunteering in a psychiatric hospital in Ghana with a Plan My Gap Year Psychology placement.

Whilst volunteering I will learn about the psychiatric history of Ghana, and learn the processes involved that the doctors and nurses endure when completing consultations with psychiatric patients. I will be working in Tafo Hospital in Kumasi and giving mental health talks to communities and in schools to educate individuals on mental health.
