Volunteering at the AMAZON :) :)

I have been accepted to take part in a Sustainable Community Development Project in Ecuador, located in the AMAZON RAINFOREST! The trip will be in November/December this year and is through the volunteer organisation VESA (Volunteer Eco Students Abroad). On this trip I will be completing a minimum of 40hours hands on community based volunteering. I will be required to work in conjunction with the villagers and the village chief in addressing some of the major issues they face in everyday to day life. This includes education, lack of fresh water, general poor infastructure and more!! To help me participate in this program and complete the much needed essential volunteering in the Ecuadorian Village, I am seeking sponsorship. Donations will help to facilitate the means for implimenting the major community development projects, which will encompass construction in addition to educating the community on matters of conservation, sustainability, health/hygiene and English proficiency; additionally your sponsorship will be directly assisting with the costs involved in participating in the program. These costs are significant and include hiring local skilled trades' people to supervise and assist in the building projects, building materials and donations to local organisations.
