Alyssa Volunteering Around the World

Hello everyone!

Starting in January I will be embarking on the journey of a lifetime! In order to put off the real world as long as possible, I've decided to volunteer around the world! I've spent the last couple of months working three jobs and trying to raise as much money as I could. However, nothing is truly free and flights around the world are quite pricey. Any amount of money will be greatly appreciated!

Here is an outline of how I plan to spend my 4 months abroad:

Bali: My first stop will be Bali! Here I will be spending 2 weeks in a turtle conservation program. I will be watching over newborn turtles, giving daily baths, and be teaching local children english in my free time!

Thailand: My second stop will be Thailand! Here I will be living on an elephant conservation for 2 weeks. I will be responsible for feeding, bathing, and playing with the elephants!

Fiji: My last (and most exciting) part of my travelling will be my adventure to Fji. Over three months I will be placed into three different volunteer programs. The first will be an orphanage. Here I will be taking care of children waiting to be adopted. The second placement will be teaching on a remote island. Here I will truly live the island life with no electricity or running water! Last but not least, I will be teaching a kindergarten class on the main island!
