Volunteer trip to Jamaica

My dream has always been to visit countries across the globe and learn their culture and tradition but mostly to volunteer at their local charities like orphanages etc... I want to start by taking a 2 week community development program in Jamaica through Jamaica Volunteer Programs.

I believe that this is my life calling. I want my travels to be meaningful and make a positive impact ,no matter how small, in someones life. That alone will make me fulfilled. I am a mother of 2 working as a receptionist and have never travelled abroad and probably never will unless I recieve financial assistance from kind donors like yourselves. I believe that through my travels I can become a positive role model to those I come across. My children will also be proud of me for achieving my dream, while helping others.

I myself come from a disadvantaged backround growing up in rural South Africa and therefore fully understand the importance if giving one's time and energy to helping better the lives of others. I want to make a differance in peoples lives and this will be my opportunity to.
