Volunteer trip in Africa

Hi all,

I will be going to Ghana next year in March to support people in need. I am setting up this campaign to help me with visa, vaccination, flights and supplies. More information on the program below:

The Medical Outreach project in Ghana is a special one week project that offers volunteers a chance to contribute to the health and wellbeing of Ghanaian people living in rural areas, with little access to adequate healthcare or medical facilities.

Once you leave the major cities in Ghana, the standard of healthcare drops significantly and there is a real shortage of people available to work and provide basic healthcare services. As a volunteer on the Medical Outreach project, my tasks for the week will be to focus on wound care, hygiene education, sexual health education, infection education and prevention and malaria testing.

This project is well suited to volunteers who are passionate about healthcare, who are adaptive and open to learning new things. It’s also open for those who don’t have prior medical training, but are looking to gain experience and make a difference to the health and wellbeing of these individuals and communities in Ghana.
