Hope for village teens.

The Heart and Soul Youth Empowerment Movement (HSYEM) was established in 2014. It was established with the sole purpose of empowering and accommodating the youth’s artistic views and concerns. Motivating uniqueness and creative elements through spoken word, music, drama, design and any other art form.

It is a platform for the youth to express themselves in ways that has only been primarily done in schools. The movement is trying to reach out to the voiceless and those who have intentions of publicly publishing their creative art elements.

In the month of September we will be travelling down to the Eastern Cape to a small town called Willowvale near Umtata. We will be engaging with the grade 11 and grade 12's of Mente High School to assist them with applications to various higher learning institutions in Johannesburg and have a small seminar about the student life since we are students ourselves. The reason behind this initiative is because these learners have limited access to resources and knowledge about higher learning institutions around Johannesburg.
