Volunteer Trip – Dominican Republic

Hello! In reading week of February 2013 I have the privilege of going to the Dominican Republic with Go.See.Do and UWO students. We are going to be building classrooms for a school in the La Altagracia (the eastern most province of the Dominican) The school currently has 75 kids from kindergarten to grade five, in two classrooms. The school can't accommodate any higher than grade 5 and there is no school nearby for kids to attend. Our goal is to add a 3rd classroom so kids can continue to go to school for grade 6,7 and 8! My personal fundraising goal is $500.00 this goes to building supplies and whatever else is needed for the project! I have personally covered the expense of flight and accommodation. I am reaching out to my friends and family to help me raise the $500.00 to be able to build the classroom! Any small bit helps! We are also collecting school supplies, children toys, medical supplies, clothing, etc to bring down to give out! Message me if you are interested in donating anything like that!
