Volunteer Nursing Abroad – Kimah’s Nursing Adventure in Africa

Update posted by Kimah Rua On Feb 22, 2020

Kia ora,

My name is Kimah, I am a Registered Nurse from New Zealand. I have been accepted to volunteer in Africa!! I will be heading there in May 2021 and aim to spend 6 weeks volunteering in a small village in Zambia!!

Not only will I make a difference, I will be able to share my skills and knowledge, promote health and improve health literacy for those less fortunate. I have a passion for helping vulnerable populations; lower socio-economic groups, indigenous groups who have been marginalized, and helping the young and old!

In addition to providing health care services, I will be assisting with the Wildlife Conservation projects! I will immerse myself in the African culture and share in the cultural traditions and African way of life!

Now, the catch... there is always a catch right?!

I need to cover the travel costs, and programme fees myself. These include; flights and transfers to Zambia, accommodation, meal costs and programme fees for 6 weeks. I have set up this page to help me do that!

Please help me to help those less fortunate than us! Every little bit counts and is gratefully appreciated!! Let's make a difference together!

Even better, why not come with me? If you're interested... get in touch.
