I am a second year student nurse at the university of Birmingham. As part of my degree I have the opportunity to carry out an elective placement overseas. As many of you know, I am going to Africa to volunteer at the hospital in Tanzania for 4 weeks this July :). This is an amazing opportunity for me, something I have never done before, and I cant wait! I chose Africa because I want to gain experience outside of what the university has to offer. I'm hoping to work with children out there in the government hospital and i'm expecting to it to be a difficult but rewarding experience.

Unfortunately the university dont provide us with any funding/loan so it is down to me to pay for the entire trip myself which is already in excess of £2,000 (before ive even got there). Because of the intensity of the course and workload, I find it difficult to work as much as I need too to fund this trip.
I'm not expecting to raise a huge amount but literally anything would be a massive help!

Any money I raise will be used towards the cost of my vaccinations, programme fee, flights and medical supplies that I want to take with me to donate to the hospital.

Id be eternally grateful to anyone who donates!

THANK YOU!
