The Program
The Public Health Program is a project promoting general public health improvement through our partner in Uganda. Volunteers travel with and work alongside Ugandan counsellors in a variety of programs, directly benefiting 10 rural communities and 7 secondary schools, which can include activities like public speaking, sex education, youth mentoring and community outreach. As placements for the Uganda Program are limited, our partner organization in Uganda will determine the final project location between Mukono Town and surrounding villages after your program fee has been paid. Please note that as many of the projects at any one location are not full-time, volunteers should plan to take part in a flexible schedule which includes most or all aspects of volunteer activity in the village/town.
