About My Volunteer Trip
My name is Hannah. I am 20 years old. I am currently studying Tourism Management in Hong Kong. I have been an active member of AIESEC, which is the world largest student organisation.
In the upcoming summer, from 6th July-19th July, I will go on a volunteer trip to Bialystok, Poland. I will be traveling from city to city in Eastern Poland to teach English in local high schools and middle schools. The aim of the project is to acquaint the local students my cultures and develop their English communication skills. I hope that after the project, the local students could enhance their cultural awareness and improve their overall English proficiency. At the same time, I also have high expectation for myself, I will put full effort in developing my leadership skills, because during the project, I will be working in a team with other students in designing the teaching course and conducting lessons. I want myself to be faster in decision making in critical situation and be more creative in teaching methods.
Most importantly, this trip is organised to benefit the local Polish students, I will put my full efforts in giving them a wonderful and enjoyable learning experiences, I hope that I can increase their interest in learning English and always thrive for improvement!
My goal for the trip is to raise $800 USD for my round trip flight ticket from Hong Kong to Poland. I have been working part time job by teaching Mandarin via Skype and working in local restaurants, I will use the money I am earning to cover my daily expenses in Poland. So I would really appreciate with my full heart if I could be funded for my flight ticket. Any amount would help!
