My name is Aimee Wilkinson and I am hoping to raise money in order to travel to Costa Rica, Peru, South Africa, Tanzania, Nepals, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bali and Fiji; where I will spend three weeks in each country on a different volunteer scheme to help improve local communities, families, children and wildlife.

In Costa Rica, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a school in Coronado. During my three weeks in Coronado, I will provide additional support to children's projects within the Coronado community, as well as provide education to the young children and entertainment throughout the day.

Once in Peru, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a Wildlife Rescue Centre; Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary, in Cusco. While volunteering at the Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary, I will be helping with the daily chores, as well as the cleaning and feeding of the wildlife and general activities including medical assistance, general support to the local project staff and enrichment activities.

In South Africa, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a Wildlife Rescue Centre; South Africa Big 5 Wildlife Reserve, situated on the Eastern Cape. While volunteering at the South Africa Big 5 Wildlife Reserve, I will be Lion monitoring, Rhino monitoring, providing educational lectures and classroom activities to local communities, landscaping, maintenance; including road maintenance and fence repairs as well as planting of indigenous trees.

In Tanzania, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a Childcare Development Centre; Upendo Face Children's Home, near Arusha. Upendo Face Children's Home is centre for children who have tragically and unexpectedly lost their parents. At the centre, I will provide daily comfort and entertainment for the children as well as provide a basic level education in English.

Once in Nepal, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a Nepalese Buddhist monastery; Daunne Monastery, in Chitwan. Whilst volunteering at the monastery, I will be teaching English, Maths and Science to Buddhist Monks, who in return will be educating me on their culture, and way of life.

While in India, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a centre for children with additional needs; KRC for Special Children. KRC for Special Children, is a centre which opened to provide care and attention to children with disabilities in India, and the overall goal of the centre is to provide children with the skills and rehabilitation for the greatest chance of independence.

In Sri Lanka, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a Turtle conservation; Ambalangoda Turtle Conservation Sanctuary, in Ambalangoda. During my three weeks, I will be helping with beach clean ups; removing plastics, waste, and harmful products from the beach, Turtle Hatchery and Baby Turtle Release; where I will help to nest, monitor and care for turtle eggs that have been brought to the turtle hatchery to protect them from harm, and Community Conservation Awareness; where I will lead sessions at the community village school.

In Vietnam, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a health and educational centre in Hanoi; Friendship Village. Friendship Village is a centre which cares for young children and adults affected by Agent Orange, as well as war veterans. While volunteering at the centre, I will be structuring lessons, providing an independent evaluation of the students and update patient profiles. Additionally, I may also teach English to the staff, teachers and residents.

While in Bali, I will be spending my three weeks volunteering at a Wildlife Rescue Centre. Whilst volunteering, I will be caring for the displaced, injured and rescued animals who currently reside at the centre. The goal for the centre is focusing on the care, wellbeing and rehabilitation of the wildlife and equip them with the necessary skills to survive; if released back into the wild. Additionally, I will be taking part in beach cleans as well as Mangrove Conservation; through planting mangrove plants and educating the villagers about restoring ecosystems and environmental conservation.

In Fiji, I will be spending my final three weeks volunteering at the a Kindergarten; The School of Angels Kindergarten. The Kindergarten has a strong emphasis on day to day activities which include the development of cognitive learning and basic life skills. As a volunteer, I will be helping to encourage the children's development through puzzle-based activities and arts and crafts as well as teaching good manners and positive behaviours.

The total cost of this trip will be approximately £15,000 which is inclusive of accommodation across each country, travel to and from my work placements, flights and meals. I am hoping to raise £2,000 in support of my volunteering however any donations will be greatly appreciated to help me to help them!
