This campaign is for Adriana "Heart" Bacaro.

My 14-year old daughter was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer.

Two years ago, we noticed that her thyroid was growing bigger and we suspected that it was Goiter. But then it grew bigger -- faster than we expected--so we decided to see a doctor.

We had her tested as was the advice of her doctor, she was rushed to have the operation for the total removal of her thyroid because the other side is showing the same symptoms.

Thankfully, the operation was asuccess. She slowly gained back her voice. However, the hospital ran more tests and a biopsy of the thyroid.

A few days later, got the results and the doctor called us.

When we first heard this terrifying news, it is like my heart was torn apart. The test concluded it was cancer.

My daughter is so young and there is so much more ahead of her but I can't just let this illness defeat the future of my daughter.

As I look at her, she gave me sweet smile, it meant hope and strength telling me that we can get through this as a family.

The doctors commend for her to undergo treatment to kill cancer that spread in her body. As the first treatment, the RAI, Radioactive Iodine Therapy was the first step of the treatment.

As we go through this battle, we would like to ask for your support to fight with us. Heart is a very sweet, loving daughter and is very kind to her 3 siblings.

As I am writing this campaign, I would like to share that I am now facing this problem as a single mom. As of this moment, my family and I are grieving for the loss of my dear husband. He recently died, last February 22, 2022 from a heart attack and other complications.

My world is turned upside down as life has struck me with a double whammy of trials. But I can't be weak now... my four young children need me more than ever!

I know this trial was nothing compared to what was happening to the world right now, but this a battle that we need to face as a family. Yes, I can't do it alone as I am lacking in many things, but I believe in the Great Healer and Provider that nothing is impossible.

Please help us defeat this disease and make the future of Heart possible.
