Vocal Cords Operation

I am Joana Marie Lor. I am raising funds for my Vocal Cord Operation. It started last year, October 2017. I've been diagnosed with Vocal Cord Hemorrhage, Sulcus Vocalis, and Vocal Fold Scar. In my case, we've already tried all the options that I can get- medicines, voice rest, and speech therapy. I was literally mute for almost 3 months. I can't sing, even talk. I can't bear the pain of it all. The doctor said my case is already severe and I only have a 50/50 chance of getting better. My vocal fold doesn't close anymore and it doesn't vibrate that much which makes it hard for me to produce sounds and makes my voice weak. Now, I just got used to the pain itself. The final evaluation is to undergo surgery. So, I am raising funds for my varix laser treatment to treat the dilated blood vessel to prevent repeated bleeding and vocal fold augmentation to help push each vocal fold toward each other (the midline). This will enable the vocal folds to close and subsequently vibrate better but this is only temporary. It can only last for 3 to 6 months. If it works, I will need to undergo another surgical augmentation (fat injection or bilateral thyroplasty.)

I know I can still live without the voice but my faith is to sing again and testify how great our God is. I believe and I know I can't give up on the vision that's greater and bigger than me. All my life, all my dreams are bound to music. Like everyone here, my journey is not easy too. I want to be able to write and sing again. I want to speak life, speak love, and faith.
