Vital Knee Surgery

I've turned to GoGetFunding as I've run out of options for this. I don't really have a family left and my friends aren't in any position to help out financially for what I need. I've tried my bank and financial institutions as well with no luck. I find myself now in a position where I need to have an operation to replace the meniscus in my left knee. I tore that and the ACL years ago playing baseball, and as a typical "invincible and stubborn" young male, never had them repaired. Now years later the meniscus has become too weak and unstable, and I'm risking everything by leaving it as is. I'm too young to retire early, nor could my wife and I afford for me to not work.

My legs are crucial in my line of work, so I have no choice but to get this operation. I've learned the typical cost of this procedure in Canada is $10,000 or more. I'm hoping it doesn't amount to much more. My goal would be to cover that cost, with a little left to help us while I rehab out of work. To be able to get this done sooner rather than later would be a huge release of stress for us, plus I'm not sure how much longer the knee will hold out without incurring potentially worse damage.
