Virtually Foster Hospice Claudette Morel

Meet Claudette Moral – she came into the RRInc.: Project “Golden Years” on death’s door, but through everything she’s become stronger than ever. She might have a sideways gait. Her tongue may always be on display. And, she may be prone to accidents, but this gal is the definition of love – caring, sweet, and snuggly, and wants nothing more than to be her foster person’s purpose. And to sing a sweet song while she does so.

PRIMARY DIAGNOSIS: KCS (dry eye), Ileus (loss of motility in the intestines/colon, Degenerative Myelopathy)

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Claudette is very wobbly and sometimes cannot hold her fecal matter. Foster mom often has her in a sling to carry her around the house to make it easier on her…and, well, let’s face it, spoil her a bit. She goes through daily muscle work to maintain and hopefully prevent/build a little bit of her muscles back to make sure she wobbles less and less as she speed-races through the house after her foster family! She is on a very strict prescription diet of food to help with her Ileus, both intestinal and colon. She’s also on daily oil drops to help her eyes stay moist.
