This year, Science In The City (“SITC”) will be an in-person week long summer day camp at SLAC National Laboratory on Stanford University's campus, during the week of July 11-15, 2022, through a joint partnership with The Social Engineering Project, Inc., Stanford’s Graduate School of Education and the SLAC National Laboratory.

SITC’s purpose is to make 35-50, incoming 5th and 6th grade underrepresented students of color from the San Francisco Bay Area fall in love with traditional STEM (math, science, chemistry, physics, and engineering) through a culturally relevant lens.

OUR CURRICULUM

This year, Science In The City (“SITC”) will focus on biotech, physics, sports science, and COVID-19. There will be instruction, followed by hands-on labs, demonstration of competency, and then homework. For more information about our curriculum, please visit https://scienceinthecity.stanford.edu.
