This year, Science In The City (“SITC”) will be a virtual week long summer day camp via Zoom, during the week of July 13-17, 2020, through a joint partnership with The Social Engineering Project, Inc., Stanford’s Graduate School of Education and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.

SITC’s purpose is to make 50, incoming 5th and 6th grade underrepresented students of color from around the country, fall in love with traditional STEM (math, science, chemistry, physics, and engineering) through a culturally relevant lens.

OUR CURRICULUM

This year, Science In The City (“SITC”) will focus on biotech, physics, sports science, and COVID-19. There will be instruction, followed by hands on labs, demonstration of competency, and then homework.

  • My kiddo and her girlfriends attended the inaugural camp! A few will be seniors and a few off to college next school year. So glad to see the program sustain and grow over the years. Nice work Kevin!
