The Intro.

I’m a Dutch national (Holland, Europe) and legal owner of various works of Art, among some paintings. Two of them very rare with a serious value. One of those is an original VvG (Vincent van Gogh) and is from his early “The Hague” period. See picture attached. Valued at almost €3 million.

The Art.

There are several ways to look at such a high-priced piece of art. Sure, simply appreciating it as a work of art comes to mind first. And indeed, for most people, this is true. But you can also see it as an investment. Or from a collector’s point of view.

The Collateral.

Now, there’s also another purpose to it and that’s providing it as a collateral / guarantee for a loan. But, as the owner, I don’t need a loan. There are however, others who do,

Unfortunately, not everybody has sufficient assets to qualify for such a credit. Let’s suppose you need a million USD for something. For a high yield investment? Or perhaps a bridge funding for a great business. Wouldn’t you love to have a VvG as a guarantee to bring it to a bank or an investor? This can be done!

I simply transfer the formal and legal ownership of my VvG to you! Transfer of the rights is done through a notary public and this deed is formally registered.

You’re truly owning the rights on this painting, albeit for a brief period. (Whilst keeping the painting in a safe house though). All I ask in return is a x% of the funds you’re about to receive for being the “formal owner”. This percentage by the way, depends on the time you like to call yourself the owner of the painting.

It speaks for itself that I like to get the ownership rights returned to me. For this we make a side letter. Only known to you and me. In this letter, you promise to return the ownership rights after a number of weeks or months. If not returned in time, the deed becomes void automatically. It’s your responsibility to be able to pay back the institution, that provided you the money. Preferably within the time we agreed. If not, you must answer some tough questions from your financing party.

The Case (or “The Now I Need Your Help Part”).

In a recent case I indeed transferred the legal ownership rights to someone. He was able to raise €2.5 million EURO from an investor and was using it in a High Yield trade, making a bundle with it. Sounds good, don’t you think? The only problem was that he never paid the 10% we agreed upon. Not good!

I have some options to deal with these people.

  1. I can sue them. I got a signed contract and a good lawyer will do the job.
  2. I can sell you the claim. (note: there is a 100% non-payment clause in the agreement, so they now owe me 20% (€500K) instead of the initial 10%).
  3. I can send in a Goon Squad and ask polite for my money after their knees are capped.

As I don’t expect too many people here are willing to cough up the €250K as in #2 (and make a 100% profit) by buying the claim, I prefer to go for the legal way. Option #3 is not really my thing by the way. But if you opt for #2, you’re free to use #3 too! You’ll get it as a free bonus…

Why do I offer it to this community?

Simple! I want others to make some money from this event too. Sounds too good to be true? Well, obviously I can pay for a lawyer myself of course, but if you are joining me, and the case is successful, you will be rewarded for it.

Suppose a lawyer costs us a fixed fee of $50K to take the case. The ultimate claim is already €500K (due to the 100% penalty) and getting bigger because of interest building. We win the case and €500,000.00 is transferred to an escrow account of which you’re one of the beneficiaries. Based on the original investment fee and funders ratio (you and you and you) we split the results. Not just the part above $250K, but the entire amount, minus legal costs! Do your math and consider funding this project. It could very well, be the best one you’ve ever done!

Like to be an owner too?

If you’re more interested in “owning” a real Vincent van Gogh, (or a Bernardo Strozzi or a Peter Paul Rubens) just let me know. It could change your life. But please, make sure you can get your investors’ attention and be sure you will get the funds from them, when providing them the paintings.
