Our Village spirit is dying and needs your help!
Withern is a rural village in Lincolnshire, with the majority of the population being elderly.

When I was born 21 years ago, the Village was thriving - we had a School, 3 Shops (one including a petrol station and one including a Post Office), Doctor's Surgery, Methodist Chapel and a Pub.
Now only the School and Chapel remain.
The last shop closed two years ago, and the Pub closed a couple of weeks ago.
All we have left if our Village Hall, which due to years of neglect is in a pretty sorry state.

Our Hall
The Village Hall is the key to keeping our community together - but nobody wants to hire it or attend events due to the state of it.
The ceiling looks as if it is about to fall in, our "kitchen" only offers the use of a kettle, we have no disabled facilities and the decore is outdated.
I wish we could afford to knock it down and start again. (However, it is unlikely we will ever find the money for that project.)
We have plans to provide disabled access with a disabled toilets, a brand new kitchen (which can actually produce food), and repair all of the damaged ceilings/walls.

We have acquired some grants but have hit a wall.
We urgently need £15,000 to get the essential work done.
Would you like to help save a Community? Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
