Vijaya needs your blessings, aid and contributions towards her liver transplant surgery

Dear All,

I am Rishabh Verma and this humble appeal goes out as a kind request to all our dear wishers. My mother Vijaya verma has been fighting chronic liver disease for last 16 years. She has carried this long battle very bravely till now with strong will-power and determination. We have now reached a stage where doctors have confirmed that she has end stage Liver Cirrhosis for which they are suggesting an urgent Liver transplant to keep Vijaya healthy going forward. She is currently admitted at Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon, India.

Vijaya has been a popular teacher all through-out her career and has helped her students become better citizens and has served the society for long .As she struggled with her ailment she continued her battle which never came in between her and her students. She has amazing set of friends who are already helping us out in whatever way its possible. She has been an incredible friend & mother and a great mom to my beautiful sister.

But in July'17 she had to give up her teaching career which she loved the most as she could not continue due to severe medical condition. Now she needs all of your help, support and blessings to overcome this huge hurdle of liver transplant. The estimated Pre and Post surgery expense for Liver transplant is coming to Rs 31 lacs (3151700 INR = USD 48000 ) [Update : I have arranged 9 lac rs from my uncle bring the cost down from 40 lacs and I am grateful to him ] with approx.3 to 4 months of recovery period.

We have received many phone calls and emails from people who want to support us in getting her back to life. Many thanks for people who have been standing with us in this tough period of our lives.

Through this fund raising campaign we look forward to contributions that are very crucial,however it won’t be the amount contributed, but the mere gesture for which we will be most grateful and indebted for our lives.
