Vietnam 2014 Volunteering Experience

On the 25th June I will be travelling to Vietnam to volunteer for a total of 4 weeks with PMGY. During this time I will be living in Hanoi, a city within the community of Hai Doung which is very rarely visited by tourists.

I will be volunteering in a local primary and secondary school, teaching English to underprivleged children. It can be difficult for these children to gain the decent education they require due to a lack of funding and the poverty that surrounds them. The schools have a limited number of resources, including teachers. The classes are large with around 40-50 children in each, therefore preventing them from gaining the support and interaction they need in order to learn. 

Teaching these children English can help them on their way to building a brighter future and breaking out of the poverty in which they live. 

Unfortunatley helping these children does not come without an expense. By April 25th I need to raise around £1000. I would be extremely grateful for any donations towards this project. Something as small as £1 would be a great contribution and could go a long way.
