The "Vierte Welle Festival" is a feminist film festival that aims to provide visibility to women artists and help and raise awareness of gender equality, citizen participation, work to prevent prejudices, fight against discrimination and inequalities through audiovisuals of the so-called 4 wave of feminism, made by female artists. The Fourth Feminist Wave is articulated through the creation of audiovisual and written contents of a philosophical, political, economic, social, ecological and cultural character; academic or not, and the dissemination of them through social networks and traditional media. Until now, patriarchy controls the narratives and most audiovisual material is made from a white cis-masculine perspective. Women, non-binary identities, queer filmmakers and especially immigrant women are underrepresented both in front and behind the camera, and we believe that everyone deserves to be represented in the stories the world sees. The feminist Festival Vierte Welle, aims to provide visibility to women artists and help to raise awareness of gender inequality, citizen participation, work to prevent prejudice, fight against discrimination through audiovisuals, MADE BY WOMEN, of the so-called Fourth-wave feminism.
