Vida Homes has always been a place for you to come for a relaxing holiday, for reunion with friends and families, for special events, anniversaries and birthdays, for a fun-filled adventure such as diving or simply to be home away from home.

The Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected the tourism industry. The government imposed all resorts, hotels, inns and the like to close down their business operations from March until September to help flatten the curve. This has greatly impacted the Resort and its employees. It has put us all into state of turmoil. The Department of Labor and Employment has proposed a one-time financial assistance of Php5, 000 to all employees affected by the lockdown. Also, Sir Chris and Ma’am Juvy, gave one-time cash assistance of Php5, 000 per employee to help us with our financial concerns. We are grateful for all the assistance we have received from the government and the company however, we feel this may not be sufficient to get us through the five (5) months, from May until September. We have decided to raise funds amounting to Php550, 000 to help us with our financial need due to the temporary loss of employment. The donation will be managed and distributed by the Vida Homes management. The funds will be shared by twenty tow (22) employees. At the end of every month, each employee will receive Php5, 000 during this 5 months period. This donation is voluntary and any amount will do. We need your help to accomplish this. Your support is important in solving our financial concern.

We sincerely thank you to your strong support and generosity. Without you this will not be possible. Before I end this letter let me quote Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

With warm regards,

Maria Theresa Y. Montilla
