=========

Our family decided to create this page for relatives and friends who want to help out our Dad, Mr. Victor Machacon.

Our father, Victor, has been confined in the hospital in the Philippines since November 16, 2016. In year 2016 alone, he was admitted 4 times in the hospital and underwent 3 minor surgeries and 1 major surgery.

He was diagnosed to have brain tumor (meningioma) last August 2010. He is hypertensive and has Type 2 diabetes mellitus. He underwent 3 brain surgeries.

The 1st craniectomy brain surgery on 1 January 2011 for meningioma Grade 1. On February 2014, he had his 2nd craniectomy procedure (excision of recurring meningioma - Grade 2 Atypical meniongioma). On July 2014, he had gamma knife radiosurgery. The 3rd craniectomy surgery was just last October 4, 2016.

In November 2016, he was admitted in the hospital for severe sepsis secondary to complicated UTI and community acquired pneumonia; acute kidney injury (AKI) on top of chronic kidney disease stage 5 secondary to hypertensive nymphrofathym; and (CD-AF) cardiac dysrhythmia atrial fibrillation and rapid ventricular response (RVR).

At this time, he is undergoing 3 times weekly dialysis. Our parents are being supported by us, the children, and have been since December 2015 when our dad could no longer work. Our mother is the primary caregiver of our father.

With successive hospital confinements, operations and expensive maintenance medications including his 3x weekly hemodialysis, our family’s resources have been stretched already. The current confinement has snowballed into a huge cost that our family is trying hard to keep up with.

Our father continues to fight despite the various ailments that besiege him. We want him to continue to fight and recover. We are doing our best to bring him the care that he needs. But we need help.

We need your help.

We have tried to keep up with medical costs. Our salaries, however, are not enough to cover the current medical costs. We have used our savings, done garage sales, and organised other fundraising activities to cover the medical costs throughout the years. Now, we have created this page. We hope you find it in your hearts to help Victor fight this fight. Any help will be greatly appreciated by the family. We thank you for your generosity.

God bless,

Jehan, Janis, Jannike, Jan
