Victims of Hijacking

On Sunday, the 26th of February, my mother, sisters and I were hijacked on a highway in the Gauteng region. Three men pretended to be police officers and raided our car in search of drugs, which is what they had told us, but later on they began to ask to see our money and they started to use brute force on my mother as they were grabbing her handbag from her. While one of the thieves did this, the other pulled out a really long knife and just before he was about to stab my mother on her shoulder, I pushed him off and in this debacle, the other guy managed to get off with the money which was R36, 000 and the other guy with the knife took the car keys, leaving us stranded. Right after this, they took off with the money and my mom, in her panic, jumped out of the car and ran to theirs, attaching herself to the driver's car window and as they sped off she was being dragged on the entire highway and just before the Edenvale turnoff she lost her grip and let go. Her whole body was covered in bloody bruises and she was in complete shock, as were my sisters and I. The ambulance managed to take her in and the police came through as we filed a police report, but my mom is still in a lot of pain and can barely walk, and the burglars are still on the loose. The R36, 000 that was stolen was a loan my mom had taken from work that she was going to use to pay for my twin sister and I's school fees at Monash South Africa, and she is supposed to pay the money back in six months, though the doctor stated that she will only fully heal in the 3 - 4 weeks.

Right now, we are in a complete mess of both emotions and financial stress and it would be of great help if any one out there would be willing to help us come to and move on from this horrible experience that has left my sisters and I, especially my mother severely scarred.
