Hi my name is Angela. I was once a victim of rape and have witnessed first hand just how little support there is out there. Therapy consisted of 'exposure techniques' to force me to relive the attack by talking about it in detail. I had these types of therapy sessions for months with a popular dedicated charity which not only didn't help, but actually made me feel a lot worse. I had PTSD and anxiety and needed a chaperone just to leave the house to feel safe. The NHS currently offers a six month waiting list, but my reality has been a two year waiting list with six monthly re-assesments.

Not standing for this terrible and unhelpful service, I started seeking help independantly and that is how I came across both NLP and Human Software Engineering. Within a two hour session, my PTSD and anxiety was cured and has never returned. The techniques are cutting edge and little known in the UK. What is more, I have never felt so peaceful and connected to myself in my whole life, rather than expecting to be given 'coping' or 'management' skills, I am at my best.

So I have spent all of this year training under the discovery's founder, Tom Stone to be qualified to train the techniques to others who need them and the project became a charity in November 2013.

Based in Dorset in the UK, this charity uses these cutting edge Human Software Engineering techniques in which traditional therapy can only help suppress life's traumas at best, Victim No More training eradicates anxiety, hyper vigilance, panic attacks, depression and nightmares from victims of domestic abuse, rape and other violent crimes. Our mission is to respond to a client's need at point of need. Because of the incredible effectiveneness of the techniques, only 2-3 sessions are needed to turn a client's mental health around. Compare this with 6 months to 2 years waiting list on the NHS and months, if not years of therapy, only to learn to suppress and manage a mental health condition at best, Victim No More has incredible potential.

Victim No More is the only charity in the UK which uses Human Software Engineering techniques. There are two qualified HSE trainers in the charity with plans to train more people and have more volunteers who can be on call to offer real, curative help at point of need. There are around 700 calls a month to Dorset police ALONE, just for domestic violence. We are here for all victims of violent crimes like rape, assault and domestic violence. Can you help us help them?

Help us fund the hire of a permanent therapy room! £500 will help approximately 10 victims and is our first appeal goal. Every penny counts and goes towards helping people in dire need. Give what you can!

For every donation of at least £45, we will give you a weekend pass to the music festival Charminster Festival in Bournemouth, UK on 23- 24th August 2014

  • There is so much taboo surrounding domestic abuse. Support and help so difficult to obtain. I am full of admiration for Angela Howard for making a difference when so many people look away. Happy 2014 Angela and good luck in getting your therapy room up and running. X
