Victim No More is a project which is launching in Dorset next month and planning to go nationwide, supporting female victims of domestic violence, assault and rape.

Why is this project so important?

  • Approximately 85,000 women are raped on average in England and Wales every year
  • Over 400,000 women are sexually assaulted each year
  • 1 in 5 women (aged 16 - 59) have experienced some form of sexual violence since the age of 16.

Domestic abuse is very common and can ruin people's lives. The police estimate that they get a call every minute from someone who is a victim of domestic abuse. The government recently made massive cuts to essential women’s services making charities like rape crisis in crisis themselves, waiting lists have soared, services are under staffed and victims are chronically under supported.

What do Victim No More do?

This amazing and unique new project deals directly with the crippling emotional aftermath of such attacks with empowering and powerful workshops for women where they can find their confidence and inner strengths.  It works by tapping into the part of the brain that deals with stress, flight/fight/freeze responses and plants instinctive assertiveness and confidence there which has previously been damaged through unpleasant experiences and ordeals. These types of workshops have been running for over ten years and were originally devised in America. However this is the only workshop of its kind, written and created by one of its original adrenal stress instructor-trainers to deal directly with post trauma that victims feel, with its aim - to give them the confidence to rebuild their lives.

The two founders of this project are Malcolm Jones – a UK leader in adrenal stress techniques and workshops and Angela Howard, a survivor of domestic abuse and rape. Together they have co-written and created this project to help victims who are currently suffering in silence.

YOU CAN HELP.

The project has its first workshop for victims of DV and rape in August and all our promotion and marketing is to fill it with up to 26 women.  Each workshop costs £2470 to put on. Your donation will help us massively!

Victim No More turns victims into survivors. Help us help them today.
