Cliff Woolley, US citizen raised in Navy family, age 69, DOB 1951, US Naval Hospital now Walter Reed.

1971 Was college student hospital volunteer at age 20 for the USO in Vietnam in during the war.

Experienced all the horrors of war helping wounded soldiers.

Was awarded by Commanding General Fred C. Weyand for his service.

1978 Settled in Tokyo after Vietnam. Was an English teacher for Japan Airlines, worked on concert tours and in 1990 became a corporate recruiter. Father of 3 Japanese American children 12,16, 20.

Has been self-funded social worker in Cambodia & Thailand since 1980's.

2006 While walking home in Meguro, Tokyo in pedestrian safety lane, was stalked and hit by a car that illegally entered the lane, knocked down, savagely kicked in head by driver and left for dead in the street.

All in front of reliable adult Japanese witnesses who called police who buried the case.

Over many months Cliff lay in agony with broken teeth, permanent internal, external injuries.

Was diagnosed with PTSD.

Cliff became a recluse afraid to leave home, could not assist raising his children, began having tremendous stress, high blood pressure and temporary strokes seizures called TIA’s (transient ischemic attacks).

2010 First full stroke, hospitalized 10 days. Diagnosed with atherosclerosis - all arteries 70% hardened. Basilar artery in brain 50% closed, Vertebral arteries to brain 100% closed and CKD chronic kidney disease.

2014 Second full stroke, hospitalized one week. 70% ‘locked in syndrome’ paralyzed, thankfully saved by prompt TPA treatment by Dr. Seki at Kyosai Hospital.

Cliff wears medical bracelet indicating 3 hour deadline to get TPA treatment in next seizure.

2016 Quadruple open-heart bypass surgery, hospitalized 3 weeks, survived, trying to live.

2019 Hospitalized 8 days Renal failure GFR kidney functional level dropped to 11 requiring transplant or dialysis. Miraculously, slowly began recovering, current kidney function GFR level 35%.

Not been able to work since assault but have 3 kids to support.

Looking for work everywhere will do anything for family and to help community but mandatory retirement in Japan is 60 ~ 65.

Cliff will be 70 this year 2021.

Japanese wife is midwife nurse, her were parents killed in the Tsunami, but she cannot support whole family.

Would greatly appreciate any assistance with much love.

Will gladly repay any assistance when Cliff recovers and finds work.
