Hello dear friends, my name is Oto and l am here today to ask for your help. Almost a year ago l was hit by a car, back then l was a stray living of the generosity of passers by, sleeping in the local cafe. A lot of people tried to adopt me, and were very kind, but l liked my freedom on the streets and could not settle down. Then that day came when everything changed for me. l was hit by a taxy and severely injured, the driver didn`t stop. Thankfully my human friends that l knew before were there to help. They took me to the vet, l couldn`t move my front legs and was very disoriented. Later full function came back to only one leg, l was given some medication and went home with my friends. I managed very fast as a tripawd and had good care from the woman that saved me, but she couldn`t keep me forever as she had a dog of her own. They were going to find me a new home. Little l knew that in that moment my future mom wanted to adopt a puppy, and ask her friend for advice, she suggested me. My mom wasn`t sure because l was an adult, she thought l would be hard to train, turns out to be true but later on that. When she saw my picture she immediately changed her mind, she remembered catching my sight one day when she was going home from the market, she was stunt by my looks and posture shining white on the sun, but forgot all about me since. And that is how my new pawrents took me in. The struggle began, adapting to a new home, having a human, having three legs, many car rides, oh horror! New mum knew nothing about dogs, since l was her first one, and have to learn everything on the go, and l was not going to make her any easier, my free spirt would not listen to any commands, and would run away frequently. Many trips to the vet was stressful for us both, thankfully there were people who were helping us as much as they can, paying vet bills and giving advice. I can`t explain how much gratitude l have for them all. We tried physiotherapy for a couple of months, tried swimming pool therapy once but l was too afraid of deep water, nothing helped, the nerve was torn and l couldn`t feel the leg anymore. Muscles atrophied and leg shrunk upwards, and l have no difficulty walking now. BUT since there were no muscle support, pressure on the spine is big. Sometimes l move my shoulder to relieve the pain from the same position. If this is continued, the spine will get crooked. I need a leg amputation in order to prevent this. My human pawrents can`t afford this surgery for at least a couple more months, during the Covid-19 lockdown in our county they lost their job, and couldn`t work elsewhere until it ended, all of their savings spended during that time.

You can help me, donating as less or as much as you can would mean so much to us. l would like to thank in advance to all the supporters, you would make my life better.

If anyone would like to see more pictures of me and follow my road of happiness and recovery you could visit my instagram page https://www.instagram.com/oto_the_three_legged_dog.... Wishing everybody good health and stay safe!
