To the world I appear to be a young, vibrant girl next door, but I have many different layers. I take my school work seriously, and I have a dream for the future that I am determined to make happen. I was raised in a not so normal family: my parents are divorced, and I live with my mom. Even though my mom has really always been a single parent, she has raised me to take care of myself and succeed in life. My mom and I had a hard time in the beginning, but we made it through together. All the obstacles that were thrown at us just seem easy now.I began my college journey the summer after 8th grade. I decided that if I was going endure the veterinary road, then I was going to have to get a head start. I have been taking classes while attending high school ever since. In two short weeks, I graduate from high school and, will have a total of 21 college credits. Consequently, I am graduating a year early from high school because I started concurrent college classes so early. Three days after my 11th grade year started, I was told I could graduate early. I was ecstatic. This also meant my college search had to begin right away, while others had all summer and the year before to plan, I only had a month. This process was very tough but with the help of my mom, I made it through. I believe with the help of my future professors I can achieve my dream and build a solid foundation for my career. Any scholarship assistance is greatly appreciated and greatly needed. Thank you for your consideration.
