Vet needs money for Commercial Diving School

MY DREAM: It's been my dream to become a professional diver since I was 8 years old and I've been an avid fresh-water and salt-water diver for the past six years, with hundreds of dives recorded. I'm a veteran in the US Army, serving 13 months in harm's way in Iraq. Now I'm trying to get into a commercial diving school in Jacksonville. I qualified for the Post 9/11 GI Bill and Pell grants, but they'll only cover 60% of my costs to go to school.

MY OBSTACLES: I haven't been able to find a full-time job since returning to the US and my two part-time jobs have really only helped me keep my barely-working 1992 Jeep running. Also, after a bad marriage, my credit has been ruined, so I can't even get a loan and no one can afford to cosign a loan for me. I've been living with my mom and stepdad for over two years, several times having to ask for money. It gets pretty discouraging!

MY NEED: I still need over $8K, which I don't have. I can't get into school until I can cover the remaining expenses, so I'm on indefinite hold until I can raise this remaining amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By me completing this extensive six-month school, I'd be able to work at sea ports, doing underwater welding, or working on bridges, oil rigs, hydraulic stations. nuclear power facilities, and even assist with underwater archeology operations.
