Hello there! I am a 21 year old Weymouth Photography student studying at the University of the West of England. This summer I wanted to do something different, and something that would make a difference. And so I have signed up to work in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa volunteering at the conservation project that rescues and rehabilitates vervet monkeys.

This wonderful not-for-profit organisation delivers this fantastic conservation project to benefit the many abused, orphaned and threatened vervet monkeys who are found all over the country. It relies heavily on sponsorship, donations and good will, (not to mention the work of volunteers!), to make it possible to make a positive difference and ensure this indigenous animal doesn't become endangered.
Over the last nine months I have been working and saving for the funds I need to volunteer at this incredibly worthwhile project, but as a student this has had its challenges and with a month to go I've not been able to save the total amount I need. I am looking for some additional support for the remaining £600 to cover the flights to Johannesburg and ensure I can achieve my goal. Any donations would be greatly appreciated by not only me, but also by the baby monkeys that will benefit from help that YOU have helped to fund!
I would be more than happy to share some of my photos and stories after I return, so you can follow up on what a difference your kind generosity has made.
Thankyou,
Meg Evans
