Ventura County Foodbank and Clothing Warehouse Funding

Reason for fundraiser:

We are currently in need of a warehouse location to store donation of food and clothes items. We have found the location and the rent for the 700 sq ft location is $775 per month. This fundraiser will allow us to make initial security deposit on the location as well as cover lease payments thru 2013.  Any additional funds will be allocated to 2014 lease.

What we do:

We are fortunate to have Naval Base Ventura County which is comprised of three facilities; Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island. These bases employ approximately 19,000 personnel. Many of these soldiers are deployed overseas and their spouses are left state side to raise children and manage the household. We collect food and clothing donations from families and businesses in Ventura County California. Clothing donations are cleaned and organized by size. Food donations are collected and distributed to local families in need.

All collection and distribution is handled by volunteers. We rely solely on donations.

Rewards offered:

$50 Donation: For those making a $50 or larger donation, we will send "Johnny Mathis Gold - a 50th Anniversary Celebration" CD  UPC: 828768858325. We have these available for the 1st 30 qualifying donations.

$100 Donation: For those making a $100 or larger donation, we will send a Beautiful 3' x 5' USA Flag with Embroidered Stars. We have these available for the 1st 30 qualifying donations.
