Venezuelan dream – My Civil Engineering degree

Hello, my name is Valentina Cárdenas. I’m from Venezuela but nowadays I live in Bogotá Colombia.

I started studying Civil Engineering here in Bogotá at a University calls “Pontificia Universidad Javeriana”, because my parents and I wanted to get better studies and regular situation that was not happening in my birth country. My amazing parents (Who live in Venezuela) had made a great economic and emotional effort to paid for the 3 years of college that I already made.

Because of the political and economic problems that are happening today and for many years in Venezuela. My parents cannot paid anymore for the university and the residency that I’m staying in; because the work has been stopped for a few months and the situation there is getting worst and worst.

Here I’m trying to fund my last year of university. With this funding I will cover all the expenses such as university, residency(Dorm), food, transportation and university material (Books, documents, printing, notebooks and construction plans).

Nowadays I have a part time job as a teacher of a group of students of the first year of civil engineering in the area of static, solids mechanics and structural analysis.

Please help me achieve and conclude my dream of becoming an engineer. Any contribution (Small or big) will be life changing and a huge impact for my future.

I have no words to describe any of the help that you will provide and will be eternally grateful and I promise to do everything that I’m capable of to help each one of you that very friendly support me.
